Diploma Information

To receive a diploma, students must complete a graduation application through the myUHV system. The application initiates the final review of your academic record for degree completion. Additional details about degree awarding are available on the Graduation page.

Diploma Name

Your diploma will display your name as it appears in the UHV student information system unless you specify a different diploma name:

Please review your diploma name carefully. The Student Records Office is not responsible for any errors or misspellings submitted by the student.

Diplomas will include the degree earned and, in most cases, the concentration. Minors are not listed on diplomas but are recorded on the official university transcript.

Diploma Details

  • The official diploma size is 11” x 14.”
  • Diplomas are ordered after all degrees for the term have been officially awarded.
  • Graduates receive both a digital diploma and one complimentary paper diploma.
  • Your digital diploma remains accessible indefinitely through your Parchment account and can be downloaded anytime.
  • Students can expect to receive their paper diploma 60 days after final grades for the term are posted.
  • Diplomas are shipped in mailers with sturdy cardboard to ensure safe delivery.
  • Our diploma provider, Parchment, will email you to verify your name and mailing address. You must confirm your information within 72 hours of receiving this email to avoid delays.
  • After the 72 hour confirmation period, Parchment requires up to 21 business days to print diplomas. USPS domestic shipping typically takes an additional 3–5 days.

Replacement Diplomas

Effective January 2024, the University of Houston-Victoria partnered with Parchment to offer an enhanced online diploma service. This secure platform allows UHV alumni to easily order digital and traditional paper diplomas through the Parchment website.

All replacement diploma requests must be submitted through Parchment's websitee.

Diploma Signature Policy

Replacement diplomas will display the names and signatures of the current Board of Regents Chair, Chancellor, Provost, and President. The Student Records Office is unable to issue diplomas with the signatures of previous administrators.
