Student Activities
Student activities provide opportunities to enhance the student experience both on and off campus. We strive to provide engaging and innovative activities for students outside of the classroom. Activities are student generated and encourage community, integrity, and diversity. Past events have included a Six Flags Fiesta Texas trip, ‘80s Roller Skating Party, Open Mic Night, Talent Show, and stand-up comedians. Our student-run Jaguar Activities Board spearheads many of our programming initiatives on campus.
Students are encouraged to contact us with any questions or needs they may have. We are located in University Commons, Suite 2202. Our hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact Zion Walker at (361) 485-4496 for more information.

Jaguar Activities Board
The Jaguar Activities Board (JAB) is the student-run activities board on-campus. JAB hosts over 25 events per semester for the student body. Activities include Pumpkin Palooza, Roller Skating Parties, and various comedy acts. JAB collaborates closely with other organizations such as the Residence Hall Association, the Hispanic Student Association and more. JAB aims to bring engaging and unique opportunities to all UHV students. Do you have an idea for an event or program? If so, share it with JAB! Do you want to be involved in the planning of events on campus? Join JAB at their biweekly meetings on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. in the Jaguar Hall, 1128 Classroom.
