What does the program entail?
Take four classes (12 hours) from the list below:
- Required: SCIE 6333 STEM Education
- Select SCIE 6323 Environmental Science OR CUIN 6336 Advanced Science Methods
- Select CUIN 6341 Teaching Problem Solving OR CUIN 6347 Teaching Number Concepts
- Select EDUC 6312 Digital Learning Environments OR EDUC 6313 Creating Advanced Technology Learning Environments
STEM Education Graduate Certificate Requirements
- Hold a valid Texas teacher certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Admission to graduate study within the College of Education & Health Professions must precede the completion of applicable coursework.
- Have a signed STEM Education certificate plan on file.
- Complete the 12 semester hours of specified graduate-level courses with a B or better.
