Graduate Education Certificate

UHV's Dyslexia Education Certificate program is for educators who want to better serve the needs of students with dyslexia. Students in the graduate program or non-degree seeking students will take three online courses focused on dyslexia instruction:

  • LITY 6362 Assessment of Multi-Literacies Learning
  • LITY 6331 Instruction for Students with Literacy Difficulties
  • LITY 6334 Foundations of Developmental Reading

What does the program entail?

Upon completion of the courses, students will receive a certificate from UHV and can take the Knowledge and Practice Examination for Effective Reading Instruction (KPEERI) to become a nationally certified Structured Literacy Teacher.
