Proctoring for Students with Academic Accommodations

Testing Services offers proctoring in Victoria and Katy for students with approved academic accommodations.

Academic accommodations are approved by Disability Services for students with disabilities, in accordance with federal and state laws, on an individual basis and are designed to ensure full access to UHV courses, programs, and experiences. If you have any questions or concerns, need clarification about the implementation of an accommodation, or if you disagree with an approved accommodation, contact DS Manager Cheryl Worley right away to discuss your concerns – 361-570-4287, University Commons, 2108A.

The student is responsible for contacting Testing Services to schedule an appointment four (4) to seven (7) days in advance of the test date. Instructors should not schedule appointments on behalf of the student. Once appointment is scheduled, Testing Services contacts instructors to ensure receipt of testing materials and instructions. However, instructors are encouraged to submit a testing request and send exam and testing resources to Testing Services, testing@uhv.edu, in the event that a student with academic accommodations may schedule an appointment.

The implementation of academic accommodations is a shared responsibility between the student, the instructor, and the Office of Disability Services. Together we can ensure equal access and opportunity for all students.
