Set Up Password Recovery Questions

Office 365

Office 365 is the preferred self-service password recovery system. You will be required to set up your password recovery options in Office 365 the first time you log in.

You must know your current password in order to set up your recovery options.

  • Login to the Office 365 site using your full email address ( and password.
  • Click the 'Next' button when it asks for more information.
  • Choose and configure 2 of the 3 available options for password recovery.
    • Recommended are Authentication Phone and Authentication Email.

Once you have configured your password recovery options you will be logged into Office 365.

At any point you may change your password recovery options by following the steps below.

  • Navigate to .
  • After a successful log in, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Select 'Profile'.
  • Select 'Set up self service password reset'.
  • Select 'Change' next to the authentication option you wish to change.
  • Update and change as needed.


The JagSpace site allows you to set up password recovery questions which will enable you to reset your password on your UHV Account in case you forget it in the future. UHV accounts are used to log in to campus computers, Blackboard online courses, email, JagSync, library databases, and myUHV.

You must know your current password in order to set up your recovery questions.

  • Log in to the JagSpace site using your UHV ID and password.
  • If you have never logged into JagSpace before, you will be prompted to set up your recovery questions automatically.
  • If you have previously logged in and set up your questions, you can change them as follows:
    • Select ‘Account’ from the bottom menu.
    • Select ‘Authentication’ tile.
    • Select ‘Password Challenge’ tile.
    • Enter or modify your two challenge questions and answers.
    • Select ‘Update Configuration’ to save your changes.
