Professional Certifications and Licensure Disclosure

The University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) is required under federal law to disclose information about its programs that may lead to a professional license or certification. Specifically, UHV is required to disclose whether these programs will fulfill the educational requirements for licensure or certification in each state where its students are located.

  • M.Ed. in Reading (Texas, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio)

  • Counseling Psychology- licensing body is Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. (Texas)
  • Forensic Psychology- licensing body is Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. (Texas)
  • School Psychology- licensing body is Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. (Texas) The program is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists and meets national standards for certification as a Nationally Certified School Psychology (NCSP).
