Student Handbook 2022-2023

This handbook is intended to convey information about university policies and procedures to our students. Students should also refer to other university documents like the UHV catalog, class schedules, or university officials for additional information.

Updates and changes are made annually to the handbook. Anyone with suggestions for amending or changing any of the information in this handbook should make those suggestions in writing to the Vice President of Student Affairs. All proposed changes will be reviewed by the Senior Director of Student Services and Judicial Affairs, and the Vice President of Student Affairs. The University reserves the right to make changes to policies and procedures without notice as necessitated by governing authorities or administrative needs.

Accreditation

The University of Houston-Victoria is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and specialist degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels.
