Biography

Dr. Nand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Houston-Victoria. His research interests include security risk management, NIST frameworks, encryption, threat detection, incident responses, ransomware, insider threats, cloud security and disaster recovery. He has provided security consulting to companies in oil and gas, chemical, healthcare, and others. He was previously an Associate Professor and a Program Lead in BAT Cybersecurity at Lonestar College. Dr. Nand received his Ph.D. in Network Security in 2014. He is also a Certified Ethical Hacker and HIPAA Professional and Certified incident handler.
