During their visit to Austin, students and administrators met with Texas legislators, including Sen. Lois Kolkhorst and Rep. AJ Louderback, who represent UHV’s region in the Texas legislature, as well as legislators who represent the home districts of UHV students. They also attended the Texas Senate and House of Representatives for the reading of a resolution naming the day UHV Day at the Capitol, and students were able to sit in on the legislative session. They also received a tour of the Legislative Library.
