The Emerging Leader program was created to prepare new and upcoming leaders by offering presentations, prep work and mentorship opportunities with leaders from other universities. The presentations covered a range of topics, including managing multigenerational teams, building team trust, staff development, leadership from the middle, navigating change, how to make effective decisions, conflict resolutions and more. Participants also learned more about budgeting, how university funding works, FMLA and ADA compliance, employee assistance programs and recruitment practices.
