The picnic is an annual event hosted by the UHV Staff Council to offer staff a fun opportunity to gather outside of work and socialize in a more relaxed setting. About 130 people attended the event, including staff members and their families. This year’s picnic featured a 1970s theme and featured a variety of activities, including a bounce house, temporary tattoos, a DJ, lawn games, fun awards and lunch by Ventura’s Tamales.

The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 50 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development.
