Biomedical sciences students present research projects

Four University of Houston-Victoria biomedical sciences graduate students gathered Friday to present their thesis research projects. The students’ projects covered a variety of topics, including how little steps can create a big impact on health living for children, community health center operations and infectious disease control strategies, suggested protocols for training in electrophysiology ablation procedures, and the diagnosis of infectious diseases in the laboratory and pathology department at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 50 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development. UHV provides face-to-face classes at its Victoria campus, as well as an instructional site in Katy, Texas, and online classes that students can take from anywhere.
