Students win scholarships by sharing their spirit

A group of 10 University of Houston-Victoria students received the second set of $1,000 scholarships in October from the university’s 50th Anniversary Scholarship. More than 90 students submitted media for the scholarship, and the winners were chosen at random from the group. The winners are: Nahom Sweet of Stafford, Tumaini Muraya of Cross Roads, Oluwatomisin Fasina of Lagos, Brayton Cardwell of Houston, Rauan Toriyev of Houston, Abdullah Anjum of Richmond, Lesli Guzman of Edna, Alize Arevalo of Waco, Judith Ballines of New Braunfels and Laura Fuentes Garcia of Katy.
