The three high school students were demonstrating a competition with another robot on the last day of the camp, which ran from June 19 to 23 at UHV University South, the university's STEM building. Stacy, a 15-year-old student at Calhoun High School, attended a previous robotics camp at UHV, while it was the first time for Christopher, 16, and Kathryn, 16, both students at Victoria West High School. During the camp, participants were introduced to basic robotics and engineering, and were able to gain more knowledge and experience with programming languages. The camp is funded by a grant from Alcoa Foundation.
