Dmitri Sobolev, in gray suit, interim dean of the UHV College of Natural & Applied Science, explains how to use a microscope Friday to students from Edna Christian Academy during an aquatic science activity at the University of Houston-Victoria. Ten students from the academy, which teaches K-12, spent the morning learning about the aquatic life food chain by looking at pond water through microscopes and learning how to identify different organisms in the water. The students were invited to UHV as part of an effort to introduce students to the sciences and stimulate interest in different fields.
