UHV is expanding efforts to train students in artificial intelligence and data science to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the AI-driven economy.

When Simone Haynes enrolled at the University of Houston-Victoria, she had a full load on her hands. Juggling a full-time job, motherhood and her academic aspirations – not only was it a difficult road, but it proved to be transformative.

When Bob Lincoln was growing up in Vietnam, being a banker was his dream job.

“I remember watching movies and seeing how people who worked in banks always dressed well and seemed so successful,” the Houston resident said. “As I grew up, banking also aligned with my interests, and I was able to start a successful career.”

The University of Houston-Victoria inducted 12 new members from Victoria and UHV Katy into the local chapter of the Psi Chi National Honor Society on May 7.
