A&M chancellor visits university, unveils new branding

As the University of Houston-Victoria prepares to transition into the Texas A&M University System, Victoria’s university has welcomed the A&M Chancellor to campus and unveiled the new logo and mascot look that will be in use starting Sept. 1.

A professional baseball career wasn't Brady Parker's first thought of coming out of Victoria East High School.

Rather, as a two-sport athlete, the left-handed pitcher thought basketball was his calling and was hoping for a collegiate career on the hardwood before ultimately deciding to stay home and play baseball at the University of Houston-Victoria.

Alumna found love for higher education at UHV

When Nancy Mata Hernandez first transferred to the University of Houston-Victoria from Palo Alto College in San Antonio, she was a communications major. But once she took some psychology courses at UHV, her entire plan changed.
