UHV feels right to accepted freshman

<p>Heidy Aguinaga visited the University of Houston-Victoria in April and liked how the university felt like her high school.</p>

<p>“Scarborough High School in Houston is a small school, so I’m used to small classes,” the high school senior said. “UHV seems like an interesting school. I’d like to be one of the FIRST 200.”</p>
<p>Aguinaga has been accepted to attend UHV in the fall and would like to major in criminal justice. She eventually wants to be a canine trainer for a police department.</p>
<p>“I’ve always lived around dogs, and I’ve always liked adventure,” she said.</p>
<p>Aguinaga has been involved with softball and ROTC at her high school. She is interested in playing softball at UHV.</p>
The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers
courses leading to more than 50 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education,
Health Professions & Human Development. UHV provides face-to-face classes at its Victoria campus, as well as an instructional

as well as contributing to regional and state economic development.
