Welcome!

First, thank you so much for agreeing to provide supervision to our students. Without you, our program cannot be successful. We want to openly communicate our expectations and meet accreditation requirements by providing you the training available on this page. Below is the student handbook which provides the expectations for students and our policies.

Completing the Counseling Site Supervisor Training

Site Supervisor Training: Working with Graduate Counseling Practicum & Intern Students

Instructions: This training will take 60 minutes to complete and will require 20 multiple-choice questions. A score of 100% should be obtained to mark this training as complete for site supervisors and to receive certificates of completion. This test has unlimited attempts and is not timed. Active Site Supervisors

Active site supervisors are encouraged to become familiar with the practicum and internship requirements for graduate counseling students by reviewing the practicum and internship student handbook:

The following form must be submitted on behalf of your intern by their second week of class. Your intern of record will notify you about the deadline for this form:

The following forms are due as a means to evaluate your intern's performance as well as the UHV Professional Counseling Program. Your intern of record will notify you about the deadline for this form:

We want you to know that you are not alone in supervising our students. If you have any concerns, please contact the practicum/internship instructor assigned to your intern’s field placement course. This faculty member should be your first point of contact. You may also contact the COUN Field Placement Coordinator, Dr. Bobby Price.
