The College of Business consists of two departments divided by business discipline. Each department is led by a faculty member who acts as Department Chair, and oversees the curricula and scheduling of courses, concentrations, and programs within their disciplines.

While accounting, economics, and finance are three different disciplines they are connected at UHV.
These areas teach students the rules and practices of their fields, getting them ready for jobs in business, government, and nonprofits. Finance students become experts in financial markets, investments, corporate finance, and risk management.
