Biography

Dr. Jie Yang received her PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and also a certified supply chain professional (CSCP). Before joining the University of Houston-Victoria, she was a faculty member in the Department of Management at Kean University, and in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Dr. Yang's primary research interests focus on relational infrastructure in a buyer-supplier relationship, supply chain agility in operational collaboration, supply chain performance in transition economies, and the knowledge management/supply chain management interface. She has published in the International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, Omega, Production Planning and Control, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Technology Management, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, among others.

Dr. Yang has served as a reviewer for multiple journals including International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Production Research, Asia Pacific Journal of Management,Omega, African Journal of Business Management, African Journal of Marketing Management, Industrial Management & Data Systems, and several conference proceedings. She strongly supports the profession through her professional membership in the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), the Association for Operations Management (APICS), the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), and INFORMS.
