Biography

Qiao Xu completed her Ph.D. in Accounting at The University of Texas at San Antonio. She also holds a master's degree in accounting from University at Albany, The State University of New York, as well as a bachelor's degree in accounting from Nanjing Audit University. Her teaching interest is primarily in financial accounting and managerial accounting.

Dr. Xu's research spans a broad range of topics within accounting, utilizing archival methods to explore issues such as audit quality, audit pricing, corporate misconduct, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) factors, corporate governance, financial reporting readability, executive compensation, and capital market. Her work has been published in several journals, including Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Managerial Auditing Journal, International Journal of Auditing, Advances in Accounting, Review of Accounting and Finance, and Pacific Accounting Review.
