Jaguar Pillars showcase UHV student values
Students attending the University of Houston-Victoria have a new tradition that highlights the values of the university’s student body, known as the Jaguar Pillars.
UHV’s Jaguar Pillars were created by members of the university’s Student Government Association and other student leaders during the 2021-2022 academic year. Now, after a year of hard work and cooperation, the five pillars have been posted in a mural in a hallway inside UHV Jaguar Hall, 2705 Houston Highway.
UHV business college brings back speaker series, alumni events
The University of Houston-Victoria’s business college has relaunched a speaker series combined with alumni networking events in Katy in order to stay connected with the community and graduates.
UHV nursing program recognized as top online program
The University of Houston-Victoria nursing program recently was ranked as one of the top online programs in the state for its quality, affordability and commitment to student success by a national higher education health care website.
The University of Houston-Victoria, located in the heart of the Coastal Bend region since 1973 in Victoria, Texas, offers courses leading to more than 50 academic programs in the schools of Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; and Education, Health Professions & Human Development. UHV provides face-to-face classes at its Victoria campus, as well as an instructional site in Katy, Texas, and online classes that students can take from anywhere. UHV supports the American Association of State Colleges and Universities Opportunities for All initiative to increase awareness about state colleges and universities and the important role they have in providing a high-quality and accessible education to an increasingly diverse student population, as well as contributing to regional and state economic development.
