Adv Psychopath & Psychopharm (COUN 6343)
Prerequisites: COUN 6318 & COUN 6322 Introductory course designed to provide a graduate-level introduction to psychopharmacology for counseling. It is designed to increase the counseling student's knowledge of the basic neurobiology, pharmacokinetics, assessment, and history taking, and drugs as they relate to the treatment of various disorders and will focus on the classifications of psychotropic drugs, their indications for use, intended drug actions, common side effects and adverse reactions.
