Comprehensive Exams in Victoria
Testing Services administers the following comprehensive exams:
- BBA Comprehensive Exam in Victoria and Katy on behalf of the College of Business. The exam is administered twice a year on the third Saturday of the fall and spring semesters. Registration instructions are emailed to students enrolled in MGMT 4309 two to three weeks prior to the exam date.
- Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) on the behalf of the Professional Counseling program in the College of Education and Health Professions. The exam is administered on the fifth Saturday of the fall and spring semesters.
- Education Master's Comprehensive Exam in Victoria and Katy on behalf of the College of Education and Health Professions. The exam is administered three times a year in March, June, and October. Dates are posted in the Academic Catalog. For more information, navigate to the Academic Catalog. Select College of Education & Health Professions from the list on the left. On the top of the page, select Go to information for College of Education & Health Professions. Then scroll down to Graduate Degree Requirements to see a list of dates.
- Psychology Master's Comprehensive Exam in Victoria on behalf of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The exam is administered twice a year on a Saturday in April and November.
- National Counselor Exam (NCE) on behalf of the College of Education and Health Professions. The exam is administered twice a year in April and October.
Students who need to take a comprehensive exam should contact their academic advisors for information about exam requirements, registration, and policies, and the date of the test.

Prohibited Devices
Cell phones, watches, and other electronic communication or photographic devices are prohibited in testing rooms and should be stored in a locker at the testing center or in your vehicle. Possession or use of cell phones or other devices in the testing room may result in dismissal and the voiding of test score(s). If taking a standardized test (e.g., TExES/ExCET, TSIA2, or TCEQ), please read admission ticket and other registration materials carefully as they contain specific instructions about your appointment.
