Diversity and Race Task Force
The UHV Diversity and Race Task Force was created to help guide the University and lead the community amid growing national concerns on the effects of individual and systemic racism and prejudice. Working groups are available for current UHV faculty, staff and students to provide input and recommendations for future University programs and strategies. These work groups are divided into five areas, including Curriculum, Recruitment and Retention, Campus Programs, Diversity and the Greater Community, and Sustainable Diversity.
For more information on the working groups or the task force, you can also contact one of the three co-chairs: Amina Patton, Assistant Professor of Communication Design; Tiarah Figueroa, SGA President; and Rebecca Lake, Senior Director for Equal Access.
