The Career Development Center provides a full range of services to students, alumni, and employers that serve as a link between education and employment. For students, we offer workshops, coordinate special events, job fairs, and provide one-to-one guidance about the job search via email, telephone, or face-to-face sessions. Our website also offers numerous resources ranging from advice on job searching to useful links to job search databases by discipline. For employers, we coordinate on campus visits such as information sessions and interviews. Please visit our campus to participate in various events.

Through episodic, short-term counseling services and virtual as well as face-to-face student outreach, the Counseling Center mission is to empower a very diverse UHV student body as capable and competent adults to better analyze, adapt, choose, and mediate the multiple, often competing life situations and factors required to positively affect personal change and enhance quality of life. Services also include consultation and training in campus mental health issues for UHV faculty, staff, and administration to function more effectively in their work with students.

Military and Veteran Services provides students who currently do or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces with a variety of programs and services. This includes providing veteran-centered academic support, benefits information, health and wellness resources, career specific programs, recognition events, and other initiatives that support the continued success of active duty military and veterans at UHV.

Residence Life offers a safe place for students to live, while making the most of their social and academic lives, all while supporting the academic mission of UHV. Our goal is to provide students with an environment that is conducive for their academic success; a place for students to make new friends, participate in fun and informative programs and to take advantage of all the resources available. Living on campus at UHV means living in a community of students. Students will be meeting and interacting with many different types of people from different backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles. Each community has residence life staff members to help and support students as they find their place in the community. Since the residence hall environment also has an impact upon the development and well being of residents, programs and services are provided to positively shape the quality of the on-campus living experience.

The UHV Shuttle Service transports students, faculty and staff between residence halls and academic buildings. The service operates fully accessible busses continuously between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. through 5:15 p.m. on Fridays during the semester. The shuttle services staff would like to thank faculty, staff and especially students for their support. We wish the best to all of our students as they embark on their education.

UHV, as an educational institution, has a special set of interests and purposes essential to its effective functioning. These include: (a) the opportunity for students to attain their educational objectives, (b) the creation and maintenance of an intellectual and educational atmosphere throughout the University, and (c) the protection of health, safety, welfare, property, and human rights of all members of the University, and the property of the university itself. In the area of student conduct, the University has a clear responsiblity to protect and promote the pursuit of its goals. The Student Code of Conduct emphasizes the University's commitment to promote the freedom, intellectual development, and personal responsibility of its students. The Office of Student Conduct oversees the Code, to include associated processes and initiatives.

Testing Center is dedicated to providing exceptional assessment services in a secure, comfortable environment to facilitate the learning process, and personal and professional development. We provide a variety of testing services for UHV students and prospective students, staff, and faculty in both Victoria and Katy, and the community in the Victoria area, and we coordinate tests with departments at UHV, education companies, and government agencies. We also work closely with the Office of Disability Services to ensure students with disabilities receive the appropriate testing accommodations.
