Implementation Timeline

December 2020 – Share the Academic Strategic Plan draft with the UHV Executive Committee, the Faculty Senate, the Faculty Council, the Staff Council, and the Student Government Association to solicit comment and feedback.

Spring 2021 – Revise the plan as needed. Share plan with external constituents such as UHS Provost Council, the President’s Advisory Board, academic leaders from Victoria College, and select members of the city of Victoria. Form an implementation committee.

Summer and Fall 2021 – Bring the Implementation Committee together to prioritize the goals listed in the plan and begin the steps needed to transform the current schools into the planned colleges. Begin development of some new degree plans.

Fall 2021 – Recommend structural changes to the UHV Executive Committee (colleges/departments/programs). Begin appointments of internal candidates to key roles.
