This year's UHV President's Holiday Card was designed by Fatima Sanchez, a graduate school psychology student from El Campo. In addition to winning first place in the contest, Sanchez will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Rules and Qualifications
Who May Enter
Any UHV student may submit artwork.
Awards
- First place – $1,000 UHV scholarship
- Second place – $500 UHV scholarship
- Third place – UHV swag
How to Enter
Entries will be accepted until midnight November 1.
Some examples of acceptable artwork include:
- general illustrations
- winter scenes
- campus photography
No words or copy should be included in final submissions with the exception of “UHV” or “University of Houston-Victoria.” The artwork may include the official UHV logo. The artwork also should not make references to specific religious holidays.
Designer Specifications
- 5x7 or 7x5 inches with a bleed of .25 added all around.
- Important art info should be kept inside the bleed room.
- The artwork must be in CMYK color mode.
- File formats: AI, PSD, EPS, TIF, JEPG or PNG.
- Use Drobox, Hightail or UHV one drive.
Judging
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by the Office of the President. Entries will be judged on the artwork’s creativity and artistic merit. The winner will be notified by email or phone.
Deadline
The deadline is midnight on November 1 every year.
Reproduction Rights
UHV will retain all reproduction rights to submitted artwork with credit given to the artist. UHV agrees not to sell any of the artwork or a reproduction.
Artists warrant that they are the sole proprietor of the artwork and agree to assign all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the artwork to UHV. Entries must be an original concept and constitute an original work, and must not infringe on the protected rights of other artists or violate any applicable copyright laws.
