ROAR Orientation Sessions
ROAR Orientation is an opportunity for individuals to begin to express their roar at the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV). It is an event specifically designed for new Jaguars who want to discover everything our institution has to offer. At ROAR Orientation, students will learn about campus resources and opportunities and be prepared to acclimate and rise to success at UHV. We will give you all the information you need to feel confident for your first day of class. Participation in ROAR Orientation is required for incoming new students. Orientation Leaders, faculty, and staff members will guide students through the orientation experience.
All students who plan to attend a ROAR Orientation session must register in advance and pay the associated participation fees where applicable. To get the most out of attending any of our live virtual ROAR Orientation sessions, you must have adequate Internet and technology access.
ROAR First-Year Orientation, Overnight Sessions
There will be multiple in-person ROAR First-Year Orientation, Overnight sessions held for students who will primarily be attending classes at the Victoria campus, and will be in their first year of college with less than 24 credit hours. These overnight sessions are only held in the summer. Registration and date information for our ROAR First-Year Orientation, Overnight will be posted soon.
ROAR Virtual Orientation
ROAR Virtual Orientation is an online opportunity for individuals to begin to express their roar at the University of Houston-Victoria. It is an event specifically designed for new Jaguars who want to discover everything our institution has to offer. At ROAR Virtual Orientation students will learn about campus resources and opportunities and be prepared to acclimate and rise to success at UHV. This session will be held live online. Transfer students and 100% Online students are able to attend the ROAR Virtual Orientation.
