International Programs

Take a trip around the world without leaving Victoria, TX – enjoy music, food, fashions and traditional performances from around the world by attending the University of Houston-Victoria’s 9th Annual International Festival from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Friday, April 12, 2024.   

First held in 2016, the popular event is hosted by UHV international students, International Programs, UHV Student Life, and with the help of much support on campus, it includes cultural display tables, dance and music performances, and a fashion show featuring attire from different countries and cultures. Admission is FREE, join us to sample traditional foods and snacks. International Festival annually attracts over 500 students and community members, offering a view of the diversity of cultures prevalent on campus.

The University enrolls  180+ international students from over 44 countries.

The festival is organized by UHV’s International Programs, and Student Life.

This year's highlighted performances are MeliSamba, Linares Mariachi, Jenni the Belly Dancer, Dance Ensemble, and many student performers.  

Transportation will be provided from our Katy campus to Victoria to attend the International Festival on Friday, April 12^th. A shuttle will be available to pick up UHV students, faculty, and staff from the UHV Katy campus at approximately 1 pm on Friday, April 12^th. The shuttle will leave Victoria that evening at 9pm to return students, faculty, and staff back to the UHV Katy campus around 11pm. If you are interested in taking the UHV shuttle, please complete the International Festival Katy Transportation Request Form before April 9^th at 8pm.  First come, first serve basis.
