How do I activate my UHV account for the first time?
If you are logged into your personal Outlook, please logout before attempting to login to your UHV email.
If that does not resolve the problem, please contact the Information Technology Help Desk directly at HelpDesk@uhv.edu or (361) 570-4399 or 1-877-970-4848 Ext. 4399. They can assist you in troubleshooting your problem, and will most likely need more information from you.
How do I sign up for text notifications from UHV?
Students, faculty, and staff can use the notification preferences options in myUHV Self-Service to opt-in or opt-out of notifications sent from UHV. To access these options
Log in to myUHV
Click the icon for UHV Self-Service:
Click 'Campus Personal Information' in the 'Learner Services' section:
Click 'Privacy Settings':
On the 'Security' tab, under 'notification preferences' check the box for 'Enable SMS Notification' and select a phone type from the drop down menu to receive texts from UHV. If you do not want to receive texts, make sure the 'Enable SMS Notification' box is NOT checked.
Click 'Save'. Your preferences are now saved.
Note: Although you can check the 'Enable Email Notification' box on this page and specify an address, emails from UHV will ALWAYS be sent to your UHV email address.
What is JagSpace?
JagSpace provides centralized access to university resources using the internet. myUHV, Email, Blackboard, JagSync, and the Training Portal are accessible through JagSpace. Employee and departmental files and select class documents are also available.
JagSpace works on:
- Personal computers
- Mobile/smart devices – Android and iOS* (*There is no support for Windows Phones currently.)
