Certification in Grades 4-8 Core Subjects - Non-AAT Track

Admission to the Teacher Education Program requires: Submitting a Teacher Education application to the UHV SoEHD, completing all lower-level transfer courses, completion of a criminal background check, GPA of 2.50 or higher in lower division English, overall GPA (lower division courses) of 2.50 or higher, completion of Nelson-Denny Exam, interview with faculty members.

Admission to Teacher Education is a course prerequisite for the Teacher Education Program Block courses. Admission to the Teacher Education Program is admission to a professional program and is a separate process from admission to the University. Prospective students are encouraged to contact the School of Education & Human Development (SoEHD) prior to enrollment in order to determine eligibility for admission to the program.
