The UHV Summer 2016 semester begins Tuesday, May 31, 2016.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, UHV students will have access to their online courses, including their syllabus, handouts, notes, quizzes, and other online course information.

On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, UHV students will have access to their Summer 2016 Blackboard online courses (in accordance with the UHV class schedule). If you’ve logged into the Blackboard system before May 31, 2016 for the Summer 2016 semester, you won’t see your course content until the May 31, 2016 first class day.

The deadline for UHV Summer 2016 graduation applications is Friday, June 10, 2016.

The UH Main Campus reports they applied the final resolution from Blackboard for the inline grading (Crocodoc service) issue on Saturday, April 2, 2016, during a special maintenance window from 4:00-6:00 a.m. This has resolved the issue with the inline grading feature in Blackboard courses for students and faculty. UHV students who have been dropped or un-enrolled from a Blackboard course no longer appear to the instructor of record in the Groups and Users area and students will no longer see dropped courses in their Blackboard Course List module when they log into the Blackboard system.

The UH Main Campus will be completing hardware maintenance on the UHV Blackboard system starting Friday evening, December 18, 2015, at 11:30 p.m. Maintenance will end early Saturday morning, December 19, 2015, at 6:00 a.m. The UHV Blackboard system will be unavailable to all users during this maintenance time (12-18-2015 @ 11:30 p.m. through 12-19-2015 @ 6:00 a.m.). UHV Network Services has resolved the issue with emails not working in the Blackboard system. Users who may have tried to send emails before this fix was applied yesterday may need to re-send their email messages if they haven’t yet been received by the email recipients.

The UH Main Campus has reviewed the issue reported by UHV students with the blue dialog box obscuring test assessment questions in the separate Respondus LockDown Browser (RLDB) application and the Blackboard vendor plans to release a fix for this issue in the near future. In the meantime, UHV students who encounter this issue should use their mouse to position the blue dialog box in an area on the page where their question and answer information is not obscured until the fix can be applied and the issue resolved.
