About Canvas & UHV Shared Governance
UHV adopted the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) in 2022. Canvas is a cloud-based LMS used to provide course content with mobile app. capabilities for students and faculty. Canvas is managed at UHV via shared governance with several UHV departments:
- UHV Provost's Office
- UHV Information Technology
- UHV Registrar's office
The UH Central campus provides technology, infrastructure, platform, and programming expertise. UH and the UHV departments ensure the LMS meets the teaching and learning needs of the UHV community.
