The UHV Faculty Awards Committee requests your assistance in identifying the annual Teaching Excellence Award winner for 2025. The Teaching Excellence Award is given to one UHV faculty member annually in recognition of excellent teaching. Only students may nominate a faculty member for this prestigious award, so your input is critical to the process. Nominating a professor for this award is a meaningful way to recognize someone whose teaching has made a difference in your life.

You may nominate only ONE of your professors for this honor. Multiple nominations are not permitted. By completing the nomination form, your name and UHV email address will be stored along with your nomination choice. Anonymous nominations are also not permitted.

Please click on the link below to select your nominee from the provided list of eligible faculty. Only full-time faculty, who have taught six consecutive semesters, are eligible to be nominated. Administrators, recent award recipients, visiting faculty and adjunct/part-time faculty are not eligible and do not appear in the provided list.

• Tuesday, January 14, 2025: first day new students registered for Canvas online courses for the Spring regular & 8W1 terms can log into Canvas
• Tuesday, January 21, 2025: first day students can access Canvas online course information for the Spring regular & 8W1 terms
• Tuesday, March 18, 2025: first day new students registered for Canvas online courses for the Spring 8W2 term can log into Canvas
• Monday, March 24, 2025: first day students can access Canvas online course information for the Spring 8W2 term
