Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP)
Welcome to the UHV-JAMP webpage. This is a website designed to introduce you to the JAMP program here at UHV. If you are both a premedical major and a freshman/sophomore, this may be the program for you.
This is a program that guarantees you admission to a public medical school in Texas if you get selected and complete it.
Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP)
The following courses you will need to take or are taking as a freshman to qualify for the JAMP program.
- HLST 1306 Biology I for Science Majors/Lab
- HLST 1307 Biology II for Science Majors/Lab
- CHEM 1311 General Inorganic Chemistry I/Lab
- CHEM 1312 General Inorganic Chemistry II/Lab
You will also need to be registered for the following courses as a sophomore.
- PHYS 1301 College Physics I Mechanics/Lab
- PHYS 1302 Physics II-Electr/Magnestism/Lab
- CHEM 2323 Organic Chemistry I/Lab
- CHEM 2325 Organic Chemistry II/Lab
This is a very competitive and tough program. But then again so is medical school.
