Dyslexia Graduate Education Certificate

UHV will launch a new Dyslexia Education Certificate program in spring 2018 for educators who want to better serve the needs of students with dyslexia. Students in the graduate program or non-degree seeking students will take three online courses focused on dyslexia instruction:

  • LITY 6362 Assessment of Multi-Literacies Learning
  • LITY 6331 Instruction for Students with Literacy Difficulties
  • LITY 6334 Foundations of Developmental Reading

Upon completion of the courses, students will receive a certificate from UHV and can take the Center for Excellence in Reading Instruction exam to become a nationally certified Structured Literacy Teacher. Visit effectivereading.org/certification to learn more.
