Positive Case Reporting

Displayed below are the reported new positive COVID-19 cases in UHV community members (students, faculty and staff) during the last week and the total number of active cases. Also provided is the number of total cases reported since March. This data will be updated by 5 p.m. every Monday. Last updated September 28, 2020.

Those determined to have exposure risk will be formally contacted by a representative from the UHV COVID-19 Operations Center and provided additional instruction. The center is responsible for conducting contact tracing on both the UHV campus in Victoria and at UHV Katy.  

Cases on campus occur when individuals were on the Victoria campus or UHV Katy within two days of symptom onset or receiving a positive test. Cases not on campus occur when individuals report being off campus within two days of symptom onset or receiving a positive test.

To protect individuals’ private health information, UHV will not identify or offer identifying information about employees, students or other affiliated contractors diagnosed with COVID-19. As required, the university follows guidelines set forth by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
