Register at 10 a.m. today for vaccine clinic from UHV President Bob Glenn

Dear UHV Faculty, Staff and Students,

Registration will open at 10 a.m. today for a Thursday, Feb. 11, first-dose COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic in Victoria. This clinic is being coordinated by the Victoria Office of Emergency Management and the Victoria County Public Health Department and will be at the Victoria Community Center. Those in Tiers 1A and 1B are eligible for the vaccine but must have an appointment.

Appointments will be available starting at 10 a.m. today through 1-888-966-5640 or www.victoriatxcovidvaccines.com. Appointments will not be available until then.

As a reminder, please sign up to receive vaccine alerts from the Victoria Office of Emergency Management through the Swift 911 Emergency Notification System. Text the word ADD to 361-433-4554 for further information about signing up.

Volunteer slots for this week’s vaccination clinic are filled. However, the Victoria Office of Emergency Management will need volunteers for the next vaccination clinic on Thursday, February 18, to assist with registration and data entry into the vaccine database system. Nursing students or students who are clinically inclined also are needed. Those who volunteer will be able to receive the vaccine. Volunteers are needed all day or from 7 a.m. to noon or noon to 5 p.m.

If you would like to volunteer, please email covidops@uhv.edu and provide your first and last name, phone number, the time you would like to volunteer and whether you would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

Sincerely,

Bob Glenn
UHV President
