Temporary Remote Work Guidelines for Staff from UHV President Bob Glenn
Dear University of Houston-Victoria Staff,
As we continue standard operations on campus in a careful and accommodating manner, we remain committed to keeping our campus community safe. The presence and contributions of staff are critical to the university’s mission, and our regular business operations must continue. However, we also recognize that under certain special circumstances, some flexibility should be available.
With that in mind, the Executive Committee has approved Temporary Remote Work/Sick Guidelines for those who are temporarily unable to be in the workplace solely because of COVID-19-related reasons.
The guidelines detail the circumstances in which temporary remote work may be considered. The nature of your work is based on your unit’s mission and related work activities. Your job function and your department’s needs will determine if temporary remote work can be approved by your supervisor and vice president.
The university continues to monitor COVID-19 conditions in our community and is prepared to respond as circumstances require. We strongly encourage all staff members to take personal responsibility to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
