University of Houston-Victoria

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

UHV now has a form on JagSync to help streamline the process of UHV students, faculty and staff who want to volunteer at COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays in Victoria.

The clinics are coordinated by the Victoria Office of Emergency Management and the Victoria County Public Health Department. UHV volunteers are needed to assist with registering and helping attendees complete paperwork, directing traffic, and completing data entry into the vaccination database system.

The clinics are held at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North St. The second-dose clinic is on Tuesdays, and the first-dose clinic is on Thursdays. Anyone who volunteers on either day can receive the vaccine during the first-dose clinic on Thursday.

Volunteers are needed for the following shifts:

Tuesday: 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or 12:30-5 p.m.

Thursday: 7 a.m.-noon or noon-5 p.m.

Volunteer opportunities are available on JagSync through the first week of April. When you sign up on JagSync, you will need to provide your name, phone number, email and whether you would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The link requires students, faculty and staff to sign in using their UHV credentials, but it also is set up to add a guest so that UHV family members can be registered to volunteer. You also can download the JagSync app.

Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered and everyone who will volunteer in the future. Your work is helping protect people in the Victoria community. We are proud to see so many of you taking the time to help out!
