UHV Budget, Pandemic-Related Travel from UHV President Bob Glenn
Dear UHV Faculty and Staff,
We have had some questions come up about university travel this fall, so I wanted to clarify our travel restrictions for everyone related to the UHV budget and the COVID-19 pandemic.
As most of you know, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused our enrollment for this fall to decrease significantly from fall 2020. This has necessitated keeping our travel restrictions in place through the fall semester as a cost-saving measure. We will re-evaluate these restrictions once the pandemic allows enrollment to start improving.
Here are UHV’s current travel restrictions:
- Domestic travel should be approved on a case-by-case basis by the appropriate Executive Committee member.
- International travel will require Executive Committee approval.
Student recruitment is a critical university function, so all travel related to recruitment will continue.
In addition, all faculty, staff and students returning from international travel, whether university-sanctioned or personal, should follow the COVID-19 travel guidelines.
As always, please be patient with us as we work through these issues. I look forward to a successful fall as we work together to welcome our students back to campus and help them make their mark.
Bob Glenn
UHV President
