Course Delivery for Spring 2021 Semester from UHV Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Chance Glenn
Dear UHV Family,
As we get ready for the spring semester, many of you are wondering how we will approach classes and the spring semester given the current COVID-19 conditions. As you are aware, we have created a UHV Phased Reopening Plan and currently find ourselves in Phase 3. Courses are being delivered this fall through hybrid, real-time online and traditional online modes to provide flexibility and safety for students, faculty and staff while still delivering a quality educational experience.
At this time, we will keep course delivery the same for the spring semester. This means that faculty members will inform their students about the specifics of their particular classes. Campus events will continue to be limited.
The UHV Executive Committee and the UHV Reopening Task Force continuously monitor the conditions of the Victoria and Katy regions through the UHV COVID-19 Operations Center and are prepared to make adjustments, if necessary. UHV has been fortunate in that we continue to function effectively, and the case numbers directly affecting UHV have been minimal.
This is in large part because we have cooperated, communicated, and remained flexible in how we adapt to changing conditions. This will continue to serve us well as we approach the colder months. This cooperation has been present among students, staff, faculty, and visitors. We are grateful for this, and I ask everyone to continue to work together as we move forward.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have further questions.
Dr. Chance M. Glenn, Sr.
