UHV CARES Act Funding for Students from UHV President Bob Glenn
Dear UHV Students,
I hope this email finds you safe and well as you wind down your semester. COVID-19 is presenting us with unique challenges that we are overcoming as a university community, and I am deeply appreciative of the dedication and work ethic you are demonstrating. We are all so proud that you are members of our UHV Jaguars family.
Today, I am excited to share that we received our allocation of funding through the federal CARES Act. We now have the grant application available, and we are ready to begin awarding funds to students who qualify.
The CARES Act provides funding for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations because of COVID-19. You may request the funds that you need in these categories:
- Course materials
- Health care
- Child care
- Other expenses (those that do not fit in the above categories)
You will be eligible to receive up to $1,000. To learn more about your eligibility and submit your application, please go to the UHV CARES Act webpage. Once you have applied, you will be notified within seven days of your application status through your UHV email account.
If you do not qualify for CARES Act emergency grants but have immediate needs, we encourage you to apply for funding through the UHV Student Emergency Fund.
For more information, assistance in determining your eligibility or to submit your application, please go to the webpage. If you have questions, please contact UHV Financial Aid at 361-570-4125 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
