Jags For Life Program
Jags For Life is a grant funded program linked to the Counseling Center. The Jags for Life program aims to reduce stigma around mental health, and enhances opportunities for students to utilize the Counseling Center’s resources to achieve optimal wellness.
Education for prevention is provided on various mental and wellness topics, such as:
- Suicide Prevention
- Stress Management
- Alcohol & Substance Use/Abuse
As part of its mission, Jags For Life hosts a variety of events on campus. Through collaboration with campus departments and community partners, Jags For Life is able to provide a wide range of programs that can engage any type of student.
As an effort towards suicide prevention, Jags For Life offers QPR (Question-Persuade-Review) trainings which prepare attendees to be suicide gatekeepers. These trainings are available at various points throughout the semester for students, faculty, and university staff.
