The Strategic MBA program takes a cross-disciplinary approach to complex business issues, and prepares graduates to take on leadership roles in their organizations. Strategic planning and effective management practices are emphasized in a team environment.
The curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of business, and to further specialize in a chosen field. Concentrations include accounting, finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, economic development, human resources management, or international business.
Our faculty will mentor and train you for real-world business scenarios through applied learning simulations, case studies, and projects.
Is the Strategic MBA Right for You?
The Strategic MBA is ideal for students who desire close interaction with professors and fellow students. It is a more traditional program offered with a mix of face-to-face and online courses. Face-to-face classes meet once per week, for the full semester, at our Katy location.
Between 36 and 39 credit hours of coursework are needed to complete the degree, depending on one’s academic background. The program may be completed in as few as four semesters, or 18 months. It typically takes longer, of course, for part-time students and those with concurrent professional and personal commitments.
After sharpening your managerial decision making skills and enhancing your leadership abilities, you will be equipped to take on senior management responsibilities. Our alumni – who work at companies such as JP Morgan Chase, BP, Shell, Invesco, GE, Wells Fargo, Phillips 66, Anadarko, MD Anderson, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, and Accenture – will attest that the UHV MBA has paved the way for their success!
