A Day in the Life

Jaguars work hard, but they have fun too!

Student Organizations

Student organizations are an opportunity to find others with similar interests, make new friends and enhance your UHV experience. You can browse our organizations for details and then log into JagSync  to find contact information and sign up. If you can’t find one that interests you, start your own organization!

Business Student Association

The Business Student Association (BSA) seeks to promote business education by providing students and Alumni with the opportunity to interact with local business leaders, connect with professional organizations and network with other business students. Students can log into JagSync to join and Alumni can complete this interest form to apply.

Accounting Club

The Accounting Club is open to all undergraduate and graduate students interested in networking with fellow business students, connecting with professional accounting organizations and engaging with the accounting community. If you are a student interested in joining or an accounting professional interested in becoming involved, sign up by emailing us.

BRIDGE to Brilliance – Building Resiliency to Inspire, Develop and Grow Entrepreneurship

Bridge to Brilliance: Building resiliency to inspire, develop & grow entrepreneurship

BRIDGE to Brilliance “B2B” is a personal growth community giving Jaguars the tools to fast-track their career and improve personal wellbeing.  Monthly broadcasts feature students, business, education, and industry professionals.  Participants learn how to stand out and get ahead, including: breaking into the career of your dreams, thinking like an entrepreneur, finding fulfilment and personal peace, and using challenge to your advantage. B2B is about unlocking the secrets to living an exceptional life.

Virtual events are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 4-5 p.m. Visit the UHV calendar of events for details of each topic and guest speakers. Students from all majors and levels and the public are welcome to attend in MS Teams. Register at: www.uhv.edu/bridge-brilliance to receive the meeting link.

Bridge to Brilliance is a product of the Personal Growth and Mentorship sub-committee of the School of Business Administration Deans Advisory Board, in collaboration with faculty and students, as a bridge between UHV to employers.

Community Values

Jags give back to the communities where they live in many ways. Members of the Business Student Association have helped build a community garden, fund raised for Breast Cancer Awareness, arranged business meetings with local leaders, to name a few examples.

Students can find out about student organizations, leadership opportunities and Student Government Association (SGA), as well as their rights and responsibilities and expected code of conduct

Students should also refer to the UHV catalog and other University Policies and Guidelines, such as the Grade Appeal Process, Academic Honesty Policy and Student Grievance Procedures.
