Strategic Plan
At the beginning of the 2019-2020 Academic Year, the faculty and staff of the College of Business (CB) gathered in a retreat to rethink our Mission and Vision and ensure that they were reflective of our values and the things that make our programs distinctive in a crowded higher education market. The result of that retreat was a consensus to create a new kind of college– one that is rooted in the past with high quality, impactful research, and excellent teaching, but also recognizes and embraces the future of higher education. That future will include increasing the use of technology and other new modalities to deliver course content, recognition of our role in our community not just to educate the future workforce but also to engage in regional economic development, and to develop our students to be good citizens as well as good employees. To create such a College, the overarching theme is the need to be entrepreneurial – constantly looking for ways to add value to our stakeholders and embrace change instead of resisting it. The Strategic Plan is reviewed continuously for completed items and new ideas.
