Why UHV’s Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program?

As a student in the College of Business Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship program, you will learn from top business experts who have started companies of their own and know what it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur.

Our entrepreneurship program is designed to prepare future entrepreneurs with the applied skills and knowledge necessary to start a successful business. You will develop your own business plan, as well as have the opportunity to work with other startups through UHV’s Small Business Development Center.

From the logistics of creating a company, obtaining customers, managing employees and handling day-to-day operations, you will feel confident tackling every aspect of running a business upon completion of the program.

First Step to Your Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Program

To earn a BBA in Entrepreneurship, you must complete 120 credit hours. This includes 42 general education core courses, plus upper and lower business core courses. UHV also requires the completion of entrepreneurship-specific courses that will prepare you to build your own company from the ground up.

The majority of required courses for this concentration are offered online. To make things as accommodating as possible for our students, the few courses that need to be completed in-person can be completed in Victoria and Katy.

Completing a BBA in Entrepreneurship is also your first step toward earning a Strategic MBA. Entrepreneurial thinking is critical in all organizations, so if you’re not ready to start your business right away, an MBA will provide the advanced knowledge and expertise you will need to effectively lead an organization.
